Travel Pool 6: Marching band welcome
Michael Memoli • Los Angeles Times
February 5, 2017: 06:44 PM

Motorcade at Trump International at 6:15 pm. Waiting for POTUS was the Palm Beach Central High School marching band, with performance in progress.

POTUS, in blue suit and crisp red tie, and FLOTUS, in a sky blue v-neck shirt and white pants, stepped out of their SUV and listened for a bit as they finished one song. POTUS then thanked them and applauded, before asking them who they thought would win the game. Scattered answers came, some more enthusiastic than others.

POTUS then asked, "One more and then we're gonna go watch the game."

As the band played again, POTUS walked down the line of performers offering thumbs up in appreciation. "Great job!" POTUS said after they finished the second song, saying then to one band member: "Did I ruin that song for you?"

"Thank you all very much," POTUS continued, adding: "Every year we do this."

Pool now holding inside the Club grill. We arrived just before the national anthem.

We expect another spray opportunity during the game.
