In-town pool report no. 4 // Treasury arrival
Gregory Korte • USA Today
April 21, 2017: 02:47 PM

President Trump exited the East Wing of the White House at 2:42 pm.

He crossed East Executive Drive and walked up the west steps of the Treasury Building also known as the Bell Entrance for its replica Liberty Bell for the walking movement. About 400 to 500 tightly packed Treasury Department staffers lined the steps on either side to greet him, forming a funnel-shaped corridor for the president.

The crowd applauded. Trump returned a few claps, waved, pumped his fist, and shook a few hands. No audible remarks.

Treasury Secretary Mnuchin accompanied him.

Trailing behind: Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, Stephen Miller, Sean Spicer.

We are heading to the Treasury Secretary's office for the signing of three directives (one executive order and two presidential memoranda) on tax and Wall Street regulations.
