G'day from Sydney.
After a security sweep in the shadow of Sydney Harbor Bridge, at around 8:50 the motorcade departed the hotel for VPOTUS first meeting of the day, with Australian Governor-General Peter Cosgrove.
After a ride that took us past a giant cruise ship, the Sydney Opera House and over the aforementioned harbor bridge, the motorcade snaked through a lovely leafy suburb to arrive at Admiralty House.
Your pool was preset inside the the Governor-General's glorious official residence, in a wood paneled room featuring a grand piano portraits of Hallam Tennyson, the second Governor General -- whose dad could write a bit -- and third Governor General Henry Northcote.
Before VPOTUS and GG Cosgrove arrived, Mr Pence's chief of staff Josh Pitcock and his national security advisor Andrea Thompson chatted away with Aussie Ambassador to the US Joe Hockey.
VPOTUS and the GG entered the room at shook hands with each member of the delegation and sat on a plush cream and bluey-green sofa.
Mr Cosgrove said the relationship is as strong today as it has been since the two allies fought on the battlefields of France in 1918.
VPOTUS did not make remarks.
The pool is now preset in on grass lawn with a view of the Sydney Opera House framed by jacaranda and eucalyptus trees, where the pair will pose for snaps.
