I will leave it to my US colleague to provide a summary of Trump's remarks in a meeting with US and German business leaders involved in apprenticeship and vocational training programs. White House has already provided a list of both US and German participants, many of whom explained their experiences in apprenticeship and training programs.

Chancellor Merkel followed President Trump in delivering brief remarks in German praising the role of vocational training programs.

She said she was happy to have the opportunity to discuss vocational training with President Trump and business leaders. She pointed to Germany's vocational training programs as a model for the United States.

She said German companies had created 810,000 jobs in the United States and direct investment of 270 billion dollars in the US.
