Travel print pool report #1 - Mar-a-Lago
Jordan Fabian • The Hill
April 16, 2017: 09:56 AM

Good morning on a beautiful Easter Sunday in Palm Beach, Fla., where the temperature is 80 degrees with a slight breeze and barely a cloud in the sky.

Your press pool departed the Hilton West Palm Beach at 9:16 AM enroute to Mar-a-Lago. Ride was uneventful. Streets were mostly empty; we did spot a pickup truck parked on the side of Southern Ave. with large framed portraits of the president and first lady displayed on a box in the truckbed.

Pool vans arrived in a parking lot adjacent to MAL for security sweeps at 9:26 AM. Twenty minutes later, we were driven into the property.

Spotted a long red carpet laid out across the manicured lawn, leading into the main building at MAL. Metal detectors were set up near the side of the road in front of the carpet.

We currently are holding in vans in a parking lot.

Your pooler has not yet seen POTUS but he has been very active on Twitter this morning, with messages about China, yesterday's Tax Day marches, the military, and the Easter holiday.
