Pool Report #7 - Merkel meeting
Chris Johnson • Washington Blade
March 17, 2017: 12:19 PM

Pool escorted at 12:11 into Oval Office, where POTUS was seated in east part of room and Merkel, wearing a turquoise and black outfit, was seated to his right.

The two leaders had no prepared remarks and were largely unresponsive to the cacophony of questions asked as photographers snapped pictures.

However, asked about how meeting went, POTUS replied it went well. Merkel said the same, but in German.

Asked by Jeff Mason if they talked about NATO, POTUS replied, "We talked about lots of things."

Pool escorted out at 12:13.
