25th Anniversary of the Marine Barracks Bombing Tragedy in Beirut special feature

On October 23, 1983, the chaplain of the U.S. Navy's 6th Fleet, Arnold E. Resnicoff was one of the first to arrive at the scene of the tragic bombing. Later that day he wrote of his experience. On April 13, 1984, President Reagan, while addressing the Baptist Fundamentalism Annual Convention, read Rabbi Resnicoff's story to the crowd assembled at the Washington Convention center. The American Presidency Project thanks Rabbi Resnicoff for providing video of President Reagan's address.
